Logitech Revue Google TV Commercial Shows Us Kevin Bacon Is His Own Biggest & Weirdest Fan
Google TV, Apple TV or Microsoft TV are all projects mean to bring these giants into our living rooms, but will any of them really succeed? Today we’re looking at the Google TV again but from a different perspective, a funny ad staring Kevin Bacon, yes, that Kevin Bacon.

Logitech decided it’s time to promote its own Google TV solution, the Logitech Revue, through a commercial that shows they mean business. And what better way than to use a star like Kevin Bacon and a funny concept to promote such a product?
Looking at the ad itself, Kevin Bacon does a great job impersonating his biggest and weirdest fan, and the Logitech Revue that brings Google TV to him will certainly help him build up his Kevin Bacon passion. But will the commercial actually make you purchase this expensive gadget only to transform your big-screen TV into a new computer?
The Google TV was officially unveiled during Google’s I/O conference and although it appears to bring an impressive touch to the way we experience TV shows these days, it hasn’t really become a hit product once Google partners, such as Logitech, started to launch their own Google TV-enabled devices or HDTVs.
Google will certainly not stop developing its Google TV, and neither will Apple and Microsoft with their similar products, but none of them look like must-have concepts for this year. And the more ads we’ll see promoting, say, Google TV devices, the clearer it is we’re not looking at a stellar product. I just wonder who’ll follow Kevin Bacon in the next Logitech Revue ads:
What about you, our faithful readers, have you purchased your Google TV product yet? Are you interested in having Apple, Google, or Microsoft mess with your regular TV-watching experience?
