Xbox Live Indie Games Stage A Winter Uprising

Xbox Live Indie Developers Fight Against Getting Lost In The Crowd By Announcing Their Winter Uprising Event

When Microsoft first started allowing indie developers to put games on Xbox Live Arcade, I was pretty excited. I bought quite a few indie games, and the results were as you’d expect – some of them were awesome, some of them were alright, and some of the flat-out sucked. Eventually though, the ratio of awesome to terrible started to weigh more in terrible’s favor with crappy games flooding the indie games channel, so I just gave up looking for cheap, hidden gems.

Well, some indie game developers are tired of getting lost in the crowd of garbage, and they’re staging their own Winter Uprising because of it. During the first week of December, fourteen different indie games will be released with prices ranging from 80 MSP to 400 MSP, and the developers are promising they’ll be worth your time and money. Here’s the list of games being released this week:

  • Chu’s Dynasty
  • Decimation X3
  • Cthulhu Saves the World
  • Rickenbacker vs. the Aliens
  • Alpha Squad
  • Asteroids Do Concern Me
  • Soulcaster II
  • Aphelion: Episode Two: Wings of Omega
  • Crossfire 2
  • Epic Dungeon
  • Hypership Out of Control
  • Ubergridder
  • Zombies and Pterodactyls 20XX
  • Break Limit
