Switch iOS App Allows Multiple Users To Use Same Browser On iPad or iPhone

Switch App Allows Multiple Users On One iPad

A new web browsing app for the iPad allows multiple users to use the same iPad yet keep their browsing history private from the other users. Switch keeps the browsing history as well as bookmarks separate and private making it the ideal app for a family with multiple users and just one iPad.

The app, which was launched last week and is set up to allow a user to set up multiple, password protected identities which can then be used for individual browsing sessions. There is even a guest user mode that will erase any browsing history once the app is closed, allowing for further private surfing without having to set up a whole other account. Currently, Switch is only available for iOS devices that are running 4.2 or later, though the developer says they are getting set to release a backwards compatible app soon enough. The Switch app costs $5.
