LG Star Makes A Repeat Appearance, Means More Images & Specs For Us [LG Star Android Smartphone Poses For Pictures, Shows Off User Interface, 4" Display & More]

Several images of the LG Star Android smartphone appeared online earlier in the month and while they were nice to see, they were rather bland as far as leaked images go. Sure, they were not taken by My. Blurrycam and for that we were thankful, however they only showed the front and back and nothing in terms of the user interface.

That said, we now have just that. It seems a new set of images of the LG Star have appeared over on the Phandroid user forums and this time they are not only showing multiple angles of the handset, but also the user interface as well as some benchmarks.

First things first though, one perk that we learned from this most recent set of images includes an HDMI port. Slightly strange as to where that HDMI port is placed — on top of the device next to the 3.5mm headphone jack, but otherwise that seems to be a nice addition to a powerful device.

One curious item comes in with the operating system — Android 2.2, which for now is the latest and greatest however the Star is not expected to launch until 2011 and that would mean Gingerbread will already be available. Lets hope that the Froyo is simply because this is an early build of the phone and that is going to change when it gets into the hands of customers.

Otherwise, perhaps the most interesting image here comes in regards to the benchmarks. For those not as familiar with that screen image and those results format, that is coming from Quadrant and showing something that will be rather nice for those who purchase the Star — a powerful handset. And as you can see in the image in the gallery below, the LG Star is sitting pretty far ahead of other ‘top’ devices on the market.
