T-Mobile G2 Free From Best Buy [Want The HTC-Made T-Mobile Superphone From Santa This Year? Best Buy Is Giving The Phone Away With A Two Year Contract]

Are you hoping to find a T-Mobile G2 under the Christmas tree this year? If you are, you’re in luck. Best Buy is giving away the top T-Mobile phone with a two-year contract. The phone, which comes with a 3.7-inch screen and sliding QWERTY keyboard, has guaranteed arrival before the holidays, if you order from BestBuy.com.

Let’s recap the specs of the T-Mobile G2, shall we?

  • Android 2.2
  • 3.7-inch screen
  • 800MHz processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4GB storage
  • Sliding QWERTY keyboard

T-Mobile is currently asking $199 for the phone on a two-year contract, making the Best Buy offer quite the deal. This is a “Cyber Monday” deal, however, meaning you’ll have to snag it either on November 29th or 30th from the electronic retailer’s website.

For those unaware, the T-Mobile G2 is manufactured by HTC and is a variant of the HTC Desire Z being sold in Europe. If Verizon is your carrier of choice, then there will be a variant of the Desire Z being sold in the United States, on Verizon’s network, as the HTC Merge. The only advantages the T-Mobile G2 has over the other phones is that it ships with the stock Android UI, instead of the HTC Sense UI that HTC puts on (almost) all of their phones. It also has a touch more storage (4GB vs. 2GB found in the other phones).
