New Video From ECA Highlights Gamer Protest At Supreme Court

ECA Releases New Video From Supreme Court Rally, Contains Interviews With Gamers Attending Rally

Remember that rally at the Supreme Court we wrote about a while ago? Well, more people showed up to the rally than the ECA was expected, as revealed in their newest YouTube video highlighting the rally. A bunch of people from all different backgrounds sound off, from game developers to moms, television hosts to kids. Check out the video after the break.

Probably what’s most important about this video is that, for people watching who aren’t as involved in video games, it shows that blow-back from this case isn’t about people be addicted to violent games. Rather, it’s about a whole array of issues, from game developers not being able to make the games, to parents wanting to decide what’s best for their children rather than having the government tell them what is.

It also proves another thing as well – that though we may bicker about what console is better or what game franchise is more fun, we’re all still gamers and we’ve got to stand up for what we want when politicians and “concerned parents” make our hobby the scapegoat, like they frequently do.
