Red BlackBerry Torch 9800 Now Out From Bell
While the BlackBerry Torch 9800 has been out on Canadian carrier Bell’s network for awhile now, it’s lacked the new red color that debuted on US carrier AT&T about a month ago. That changes, of course. Now, Bell and their prepaid subsidiary Virgin Mobile Canada are getting the red BlackBerry Torch 9800, too.

Being one of the biggest tech companies in Canada, RIM has always taken care of the Canadian market. We’re usually not fans of the “multi-colored” BlackBerries here, but the red Torch 9800 has got sort of a little red sports car kinda vibe to it. It looks pretty sharp.
As I’m sure most readers are aware, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 was the flagship phone of the new BlackBerry OS 6.0 and signals a change in design from RIM. Some saw it as another attempt by RIM to compete with the touchscreen smartphone market. Despite rumors of sagging sales, most BlackBerry fans seem to really be liking the new Torch 9800.
The red BlackBerry Torch 9800 is now out on both Bell and Virgin Mobile Canada – which is Bell’s prepaid subsidiary. Bell is asking $179.99 for the phone on a three-year contract, while Virgin is asking between $180-$600, depending on how much you put on your Virgin “supertab”.
