Call Of Duty Black Ops Also Tops Charts And Clears Cultural Hurdles In Japan

Call Of Duty Black Ops Leading The Japanese Pack In Terms Of Sales

Not the sort of thing you’d figure Japanese people would be really into, but we guess power fantasies are universal in their appeal, and even if some cultures’ power fantasies include more tentacles and schoolgirls than the next’s, that doesn’t mean they can’t appreciate a ripping good yarn about Tyler Durden’s stint with the CIA. Deductive spoiler alert!

As expected, the PS3 version sold 128,922 copies while every Xbox 360 owner in the country went out and bought it to help it reach #7 with 30,279 copies sold. Man, Japanese Xbox gamers are few, but loyal. They even bought cartloads of Kinects, though goodness knows they don’t have anywhere to play them. Maybe they can all gather in the city plaza and play them at the same time, like those Japanese group sex things we see on Youtube. Only group Kinect-ing sounds even dirtier for some reason.
