iPad On Three: English Carrier Getting Apple's Tablet Soon
On their website today, Three UK announced that they will be getting the iPad! The 9.7-inch Apple tablet is coming to the English carrier, they announced in a press release and on their official blog. Somewhat unsurprisingly, details are scare at this time, as they didn’t exactly spell everything out for us.

The timeframe for the iPad’s release on Three UK is said to be “in the coming months”. They’ll be offering the iPad price subsidized, if you get it on a two-year contract, but pricing hasn’t been announced. Also, they’ll be offering the full iPad 3G model, not the WiFi model. The European mobile phone market isn’t as screwed up as the American market, but you’ll recall that American carrier Verizon is selling their iPad with a MiFi hub because the iPad 3G won’t work with the CDMA bands that Verizon uses. Sort of a cumbersome solution. But, only in America are things that screwed up, so the iPad 3G should run fine on Three UK’s network.
This press release is so scarce, that it directs customers to check out Apple’s own website, rather than some Three sub-site that has more information on the iPad. We imagine that Apple and Three have literally just made deal, and Three is excited, so they’re sending out this press release to all, before details have been ironed out. Sound plausible to you?
