HTC Desire Z on Vodafone, Now Available [Vodafone Brings 3.7-inch Android Phone With 800MHz Processor, Sliding QWERTY Keyboard To Their Customers, Free With Contract]
The HTC Desire Z is one of the hot new Android offerings this year from HTC. It’s finally arrived on UK-based super carrier Vodafone, now. Their giving it away for free with a two-year contract. That’s for the 3.7-inch phone with a 800GHz processor, QWERTY slider, and 5MP camera.

Here are the specs of the HTC Desire Z:
- Android 2.2
- 800MHz (Qualcomm Scorpion – better than Snapdragon, so they say)
- 512MB RAM
- 2GB Storage (with microSD slot)
- 3.7-inch “Super LCD” screen
- QWERTY keyboard
Remember that the HTC Desire Z is apart of HTC’s “Desire” brand, which includes the HTC Desire (which was very similar to the Nexus One) and the HTC Desire HD which has a whopping 4.3-inch screen.
Regarding pricing, Vodafone is giving away the phone for free with a £35/month plan. That includes 900 minutes and 750MB of data. Seems a bit step, if you ask us. As is usual with these European mobile plans, they’ve got quite a wide number of monthly plans, each offering a different number of minutes, texts, internet data and various pricing on the phones. If you want to pay the least per month, they’re asking £199 for the phone and £25/month for 100 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB of data.
