Batman Arkham City Won't Have Batmobiles Driving Around
Sometimes even a game as anticipated as Rocksteady’s sequel to the uvula-bruising awesome that was last year’s Arkham Asylum can disappoint. We’re willing to bet vital parts of our anatomy it won’t, we’re just saying it can, in the same way the Large Hadron Collider can make tiny but civilization-gobbling black holes.

But even if the universe goes wrong and Arkham City does suck, we’re betting lack and/or abundance of batmobiles won’t have anything to do with it. Game director Sefton Hill “There aren’t any playable vehicles in the game. What we’ve really focused on is Batman himself. We see him as the ultimate vehicle.” Well, the first game managed to thicken the dictionary by a few thousand pages on account of all the pictures they put of it under the word awesome so yeah, we’re prepared to call this. No batmobiles, not a big deal, you heard it here first. It’s slated for a Q3 2011 release and will feature Catwoman, Two-Face and Joker once more.
