Nokia X7-00 Symbian^3 Smartphone Gets Leaked
Let’s face it, Nokia, you don’t really have any flagship device out there ready to really compete against the iPhone or Android, although we’ll definitely give you credit for trying. The Nokia N8 is not flying off the shelves, so we’re definitely looking forward for new Nokia creations to try to win us over. Is the X7-00 such a phone?

The Nokia X7-00 has been leaked so don’t expect any official details about it just yet. We’re looking at a Symbian^3 smartphone sporting a 4-inch touchscreen display with 360 x 640 resolution, 450MB built-in memory, 246MB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, dual-LED flash, micro USB support, four speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone doesn’t look that bad, but then again neither of its Symbian^3 predecessors looked bad either. They just lacked any magic that would make them truly appealing for the crowds. Don’t get me wrong, I’m actually a big Nokia fan and can’t wait to see them bring back their A game to the mobile business. But while they’re still the number 1 handset manufacturer in the world, they aren’t really the number 1 smartphone maker and hopefully Stephen Elop and the new gang will come out strong with some hot products in the near future.
In the mean time we’ll probably see the Nokia X7-00 hit various markets soon although we have no pricing details and no release dates for you, although Vodafone CZ seems ready to carry it when the time is right. As you can see in the video above the smartphone does a pretty good job at running Need For Speed Shift and it seems to be pretty responsive during the very short demo. But that doesn’t necessarily mean this baby will be the next iPhone-killer. In fact, considering what’s coming next year in the smartphone business, Nokia had better come up with some outstanding features for its upcoming MeeGo smartphones. Because Symbian^3 doesn’t impress us, not that it ever really had a fighting chance since its launch.
