Ultrasn0w iPhone (3G, 3GS & 4) iOS 4.2.1 Unlock Coming on Black Friday or Funday Sunday, Says MuscleNerd [iPhone Dev Team Confirms Ultrasn0w Unlock Will Arrive This Weekend; We Told You So]

A few days ago we told you how the Ultrasn0w, the iOS 4.2/4.2.1 unlock you’re waiting for your iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and most importantly iPhone 4, is coming around Black Friday and we looks like we were spot on that particular prediction.

Or at least, almost spot on since MuscleNerd from the iPhone Dev Team just tweeted that the unlock is coming on “Sunday/Funday at the latest”, but it no way it’s coming out today, as even the hackers spend Thanksgiving with their families.

Naturally, the not-so-good news, since it’s not necessarily bad news, is that the iPhone 4 unlock is going to take a little longer than say, the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS unlocks, but things are looking good and everything is on “track for updated Ultrasn0w.”

At this time we’ll ask you all to have just a little extra patience. Your expensive iPod touch will be turned back into an iPhone 4 in the near future, and it’s great to see the iPhone Dev Team is so determined to push out the first Ultrasn0w update right after the iOS 4.2/4.2.1 launch as announced before.

We’ll remind you not to jailbreak your iOS 4.2/4.2.1 iPhone at this point, especially in case you want to unlock it immediately after and wait until the official instructions are going to be made public. In fact upgrading to iOS 4.2/4.2.1 shouldn’t be considered yet either, just so you make sure that you follow the proper upgrade-jailbreak-unlock procedure that’s going to be revealed by Funday at the latest.

Naturally, while jailbreaking and unlocking are legal procedures, we won’t advise you to perform them, especially if you’re not comfortable with such trickery. And once you go down this dark path remember that you’re the sole responsible for anything you put your iPhone (3G, 3GS and 4) through from the moment you purchase it.
