Call Of Duty Black Ops Double XP Weekend Not Happening, DLC Coming To Xbox First

Xbox Live Gold Free Weekend Will Not Include Double Black Ops XP

It appears Microsoft and Activision had their signals crossed and the news of the Black Ops Double XP bonanza has been greatly exaggerated. You’re going to have to settle for scalping pretend Russians for regular stinky old single serving XP. We know. And to think we dusted and wiped the screen down for smudges and prints so we can make room for new ones when our friends can’t help themselves from pointing at our bravely swelling stats. MS (the software giant, not the disease) will take a rain check though, albeit with a waffling non-committal “in the future”.

You still get the free Gold Xbox Live though and some choice news morsels as well, as Microsoft, as is their wont, has also let it be known across the land that when there will be Black Ops DLC to be had, the Xbox is where it makes landfall. So, no double XP, but stuff to brag about. Almost as good, no?
