Kinect To Support XNA & Vice-Versa "In The Future"

Kinect Getting XNA Support, Microsoft Says It's Definitely Coming

We honestly can’t wait to see what people cook up with this since they’ve been so busy bending the Kinect to their will even without proper tools and spotty permission. And by this we mean Kinect XNA support, which incubation director of something to do with the Xbox and not chickens or babies or baby chicks Alex Kipman has announced Microsoft “will support in the future.”

There are, however, limits to what Microsoft will allow you to do with their baby, apparently mucking about with “algorithms on the side of the Xbox” is a definite no-no and trying to hack the Kinect to cheat is an even definiter no-no… er. Or else we’d be swimming “half a million” club members in a matter of days wouldn’t we? So let’s hope that the heady days of the Kinect’s infancy keep on and the thrill of developing for it wasn’t just the irresistible draw of the forbidden fruit. Too bad only about four and a half Japanese will ever get to see these wondrous and/or horrific creations.
