BLACK FRIDAY: Office For Mac 2011 Gets Heavy Discounts

If you’re a Mac user, you’ve likely noticed that you don’t get a lot of the same things that PC users do, especially in regard to enterprise software.  Of course, there are moves in that direction, though the big one came just recently with the release of Office For Mac 2011. And what you’re going to find is that there will be a great plenty of places that are offering the software for cheap for the upcoming Black Friday shopping barrage.

It likely will surprise no one that both United States and Canadian locations of the Apple Stores will offer discounts on what amounts to its own software–$20 off the Home & Student Family Pack, bringing it down to $129.

Both Best Buy and MacMall will also throw in discounts here, both looking to offer the Home & Student 1-pack for $99 (where it was originally $119) and a discount that matches the Apple Store on the Home & Student Family Pack, selling for $129.

OfficeforMac.com will be offering what seems to be the going discount of  $20 off Home & Student Family Pack, bringing it to $129.

But lastly, we save the best deal as Amazon looks to wheel out at whopping $40 off the Home & Student 1-pack, dropping the cost to $79, and a likewise discount offered to the Home & Student Family Pack, making its new price $109.

So if you’re a Mac user and hitting the streets Black Friday for a little of that shopping frenzy, you may well want to hit one of the many stores mentioned (or don’t even bother and hit one of the online sales instead) to get yourself a dose of productivity geared toward your platform of choice. If you put a PC’s capability in with a Mac’s sense of style, well, you’d probably have the last computer anyone would ever buy…so why not start now and help push the unification agenda?
