BLACK FRIDAY: Toys R Us Offering Black Friday Deals On Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Halo: Reach

It seems that Black Friday has become less and less spectacular over the past few years – companies don’t seem to be cutting customers really good deals these days. However, Toys R Us didn’t get that memo, and they’re offering plenty of deals on video games on Black Friday. First and foremost is the Nintendo DS deal everyone is talking about: Red and Green Nintendo DS Handhelds bundled with Mario Party DS for $150.00 each.

Another attractive deal is the one they’re offering on Xbox 360 consoles – buy the 4GB Xbox 360 for $199.99 or the 250GB Xbox 360 for $299.99 and they’ll hand over a $50 dollar gift card just because. There’s also plenty of deals on controllers, namely an Microsoft Xbox 360 black wireless controller for $29.99 – and that’s a steal, when you consider how nice the wireless controllers are and how expensive they typically are as well.

They’re also offering a good amount of DS games for pretty cheap (see below image), as well as three Pokemon DS games for $14.99, all from the Mystery Dungeon series. If you have younger children and regular Pokemon games seem a little too daunting for them to start out on, the Mystery Dungeon series works very well as a jumping off point.

Now, onto the games that adults want to play. Toys R Us is offering deals across multiple platforms, and if you buy one of the qualifying games, you can get another for five dollars. Five dollars. Games that are eligible for this deal are:

• Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
• Halo: Reach
• Fable III
• Medal of Honor
• Goldeneye 007
• Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011
• The Sims 3 (note: console version only, deal doesn’t apply to PC version)
• Madden NFL ’11
• Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

So there you have it. There’s lots of video game deals happening at Toys R Us on Black Friday. Keep in mind, too, that Toys R Us is opening on Thursday night at 10 PM, so when everyone in your family is passed out from too much food and football, you can head over there and get some Black Friday shopping done a little early.
