iPhone Alarms Will Need To Be Reset Thanks To DST
There have been plenty of mentions about the programming bug that has affected iPhones and iPods as the end of Daylight Savings Time has arrived. The problem has arisen because the bug means that even while the phones recognize that the time has changed, repeating alarms on the iDevices don’t recognize that change.

In order to make sure that people who use their iPhones or iPod Touches as their primary alarm clocks will be able to get their alarms going off at the right time, they will need to completely reset the alarm and set it manually each day. Apple says that when they release iOS 4.2 that this glitch will be permanently taken care of but in order to be sure in the meantime users will need to take the step. While this is little more than a nuisance to most people after the fact, the problem was only found out because alarms did not go off when iPhone and iPod users in Europe used them they reported being late to work and school.
