Verizon Pricing Revealed, Motorola Droid Pro At $179 & Samsung Continuum At $199, Both After Rebates

While we are still waiting for the official announcement from Verizon, there has been a recent leak in terms of Motorola Droid Pro and Samsung Continuum pricing. Of course, both handsets are Android and both are expected to come available shortly.

First things first, the prices. It looks like the Motorola Droid Pro will end up costing $179 and the Samsung Continuum $199. And yes, both of those prices are expected to be after rebates so you may end up paying a bit more on the day of purchase. Or maybe Verizon will simply offer those as instant discounts for those who make the purchase online. Either way, while mail-in-rebates are not always ideal, the final prices are nice to see. And honestly, the Droid Pro at $179 is about $20 (maybe $70) less than I would have expected to see. In the case of the Continuum, that seems spot on.

With that, we still need the official word from Verizon. As far as the release dates, similar to the pricing we are still dealing with rumors for both of these handsets. As for the Continuum, this should arrive sometime this month, which comes from how it was spotted on the November mail-in-rebate form for Verizon. In addition the Continuum was also recently added to the Verizon holiday gift guide page as coming soon.

As far as the release of the Motorola Droid Pro, this one is a bit more detailed as it is a device that Verizon is calling “iconic.” Awesome in the fact they are launching an “iconic” device that is not the iPhone. But that story is for another day. The Droid Pro is expected to go up for pre-sale on November 9th with the official launch coming on November 18th. And in a little bit of good news for those who pre-order, it is expected that Verizon will begin shipping out the first pre-orders as of November 10th so they will arrive “prior to the launch date.”
