Aliph Intro's The Not-A-Headset Jawbone Jambox Bluetooth Speaker
Aliph seems to have moved past the Bluetooth headset, well, at least for this latest product offering — the Jawbone Jambox. That said, the Jambox is still a Bluetooth device. Except instead of hanging from your ear it will sit on your desk.

And for those familiar with the Jawbone lineup, you may notice the similarity in design, the Jambox is sporting a look similar to that if the Icon headset. In terms of the price and release date, the Jambox will be available by way of the Jawbone website as well as with Apple and Best Buy. The speaker will be available for purchase as of November 16th, however for those looking to commit as soon as possible, pre-orders will begin as of today on the Jawbone website. As for price, $199.
Moving on to the exterior design and you will find a variety of four colors to include Blue Wave, Black Diamond, Grey hex and Red Dot. The Jambox will measure in at 151 x 57 x 40 mm and weighs in at 12 ounces. In other words, while portable it is not something you will most likely lug around with your phone.
Otherwise, the Jambox has a microUSB port for charing and can connect to your device using the 3.5mm audio jack or the Bluetooth, which is 2.1 + EDR with A2DP 1.2, HFP 1.5 and HSP 1.1. As for the sound, that is noted as having an output of 85dB @ 0.5m and a frequency of 60 Hz-20 kHz. Furthermore, the Jambox will be upgradeable in the future by way of the Aliph MyTalk platform.
Lastly, the Jawbone Jambox ships with an AC charger, 12.5 inch and 60 inch microUSB charging cable, 36 inch 3.5mm stereo cable and a carrying case. Aside from the Bluetooth device that you are going to connect, everything else that you will need seems to be included in the box. All said and done, and based on previous experience with Jawbone products, this seems to be a solid offering.
