AT&T iPhone vs T-Mobile myTouch 4G Fight; New Ad Shows Who’s Winning
As you already know T-Mobile launched the myTouch 4G and the company didn’t just came out with a hot Android 2.2 smartphone worth considering as your next handset, but it also created a matching commercial that clearly takes a hit at AT&T’s iPhone.

The new ad is hilarious and it kicks Apple where it hurts most, not in the “I’m a Mac” discontinued ad campaign, but in the iPhone’s Achilles’ heel in the U.S. which is AT&T.
The commercial, entitled “Piggyback”, although I would have called it “I’m a T-Mobile myTouch 4G” makes fun of AT&T’s 3G network, and, by association, of Apple’s iPhone just like Apple used to make fun of the PC and Microsoft in the “I’m a Mac” series. I know I already said it and saying it again a paragraph later isn’t really necessary but the new T-Mobile ad is hilarious just check it for yourself:
It’s also pretty cliché, since, at some point, the “I’m a Mac” campaign would certainly be turned against Apple, but that doesn’t make the ad any less impressive. And Apple is certainly taking a beating, by association, not because the myTouch 4G is the ultimate iPhone 4 killer since that’s not the point of the ad. T-Mobile is simply taking a hit at AT&T, and, without saying the myTouch 4G is better when it comes to specs and features, it does imply that choosing it is a better move than going for the iPhone.
As for the myTouch 4G, well the phone has just become official. Robert already showed you the device earlier on and you know you can now purchase it for $199.99 on a new contract from T-Mobile or $79.9 from Wirefly, also with a new two-year contract from T-Mobile. The phone is available contract-free too, but that brings the price up to $449.99 with T-Mobile and $539.99 with Wirefly.
