Palm Pre Plus Returns As Available With Verizon Wireless
The on again off again case of the Palm Pre Plus. Just in the past few months we have seen it drop to free on contract and then go out of stock only to end up being removed entirely from the Verizon website. Well, it seems today is another day and the Palm Pre Plus is once again available — and no longer free.

Bottom line, while the Palm Pre 2 is coming soon, it seems as if Verizon may still have a few Plus models left in the warehouse that they want to push out the doors. Still, while it is nice to see the handset come available again, I cannot help but think I would feel bad for anyone who made a purchase this close to the release of the Pre 2.
Not to mention, that purchase will be made at $49.99 on a two year contract which is not all that bad of a price until you remember that the Pre Plus was available direct from Verizon for free just a few months back. Of course, we should point out that other third party retailers such as Wirefly are still offering the Pre Plus and are still offering it for free. And as for Amazon, the Pre Plus is no longer available. Though, to clarify the Amazon listing, the phone is not available as a Verizon offering but there are several available for sale contract free (and used).

Lastly, on top Verizon is still offering the Mobile Hotspot service for free. And in addition, the Pre Plus is listed as a Buy One Get One Free phone which means you can purchase a Pre Plus and get up to three “select” phones for free. Sadly though, it looks like (at the moment) the only phone that qualifies as “select” in the case of the Pre Plus is the LG Ally.
