New TimeSplitters Game On The Horizon? Crytek UK Says It May Happen
I don’t know about you, but I used to love me some TimeSplitters. It didn’t matter which one, I loved them all, and I’ve been very disappointed that we haven’t seen one yet this generation. That may change eventually though, as developers Crytek UK – the group currently working on the multiplayer component for the upcoming Crysis 2 – has been presenting the idea of a new entry in the TimeSplitters series to publishers.

Keep in mind, Crytek UK used to be Free Radical Design, so if you were confused as to why Crytek UK was pitching TimeSplitters ideas, never fear, the franchise is still in caring hands. In an interview with Eurogamer, managing director of Crytek UK Karl Hilton said that the team would love to do a new title, but they’ve also been tossing around the idea of build a new IP and going in that direction. Whichever they choose to go with, though, this is definitely a story to watch.
What about you? Would you like to see a new TimeSplitters game, or should the company head in a new direction? Sound off in the comments.

The TS series has always been, and always will be my favourite FPS series. I really hope that publishers want in on TS4, because it’s needed now more than ever with the same old realistic, military shooters being spewed out every year.
