Mass Effect 2, Plants vs. Zombies Each Take Home Multiple Golden Joysticks
Bioware’s Mass Effect 2 and Pop Cap’s Plants vs. Zombies both made a strong showing at this year’s Golden Joystick awards, with Plants vs. Zombies taking home the awards for Strategy Game of the Year and Download Game of the Year. Mass Effect 2 managed to nab the awards for RPG of the Year and the coveted Ultimate Game of the Year.

Other winners include Assassin’s Creed II for Action/Adventure Game of the Year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for Shooter Game of the Year, Forza Motorsport 3 for Racing Game of the Year, and Street Fighter IV for Fighting Game of the Year.
Call of Duty: Black Ops was named the game to watch as well. You know, after looking through this list, I feel like I just could have guessed the winner in each category without looking at the results first and I still would have gotten most of them correct. Maybe I’ll have to try that next year…
