Facebook Phone Coming at “Please Join Us” November 3 Event; Either That or 500 Million Is Not Enough

Facebook Announces Special November 3 Media Event; We’ll be Waiting for “The Second Social Network” But a Phone Will Do Too

Mirror, mirror on the wall, tell me who is the only social networking service that’s rumored to launch an own Facebook Phone? That’s the kind of question any mirror can answer to, and it doesn’t even have to be magical; the mirror, not the phone.

That’s right, we tend to fire up Facebook Phone rumors as soon as we hear that the giant social networking service is getting ready to announce a press event. The company sent out invites for a November 3 “Please Join Us” media event, which is supposed to be reveal some major breakthrough/milestone in Facebooks epic life.

So what is it? Is Facebook going to take a stand and publicly admit it allegedly breached our privacy countless times without us knowing? Is it going to announce the sequel of “The Social Network” just so we stay updated with what Mark Zuckerberg has been up to for the last couple of months? Is it just a marketing strategy to gather an extra few million subscribers/customers/privacy sharers so they build up their earnings for the remainder of the quarter?

As interesting as all of the above announcements would be for me I’ll wager all my Farmville never-growing crops that it’s the Facebook Phone, or Facebook Phones, we’ve been talking about earlier this month. What else can it really be? What service or product can Facebook magically announce to better improve our Facebook life-sharing experience? Well, “magically” isn’t the appropriate word since Apple will trademark it soon enough, but it definitely has to be something really exciting to deserve a full-blown press event.

Either way, we’ll “please join them” virtually there, updating our statuses and walls with more information regarding this Facebook Phone on November 3, so stick around for more pertinent and totally objective information. Although it’s definitely going to be a Facebook Phone, the dumb kind of featurephone/messaging phone that no smartphone fan really wants. So, Facebook, let’s call it a Kin, put all the silly stuff aside and see what we can do together to make this announcement interesting.
