Facebook Launches Friendship Pages

Facebook's New Friendship Page Offers New Look, Little Else

Yesterday social networking site, Facebook announced the launch of a new function on its ultra-popular website. Starting today, some users will be able to pull up a screen showing any conversations or interactions between themselves and any friend. They will also be able to pull up a similar screen detailing interactions between any two friends.

It should be noted that nothing Facebook Friendship Pages produces is actually new. This is the same data you could have gotten simply by clicking on each individual friend’s Facebook profile, but the information will now be distributed in a new way and it will be easier to see similar interests for your friends. If you want to know whether they are both attending an event advertised through Facebook you will be able to do it with the click of one button instead of hitting two separate profiles.

While Facebook Friendship Pages goes live today, it will be available only to certain users for the time being with a wider launch expected shortly.
