Epic Starts Ridiculous 31x XP Weekend for Gears of War 2 Multiplayer

Are you sad that Gears of War 3 isn’t coming out for a long, long time? Would you be mad at me if I told you that you missed out on nearly an entire month of 4 times the experience points in Gears of War 2 because you’ve been playing Halo: Reach or Fallout: New Vegas? Well, both Epic and myself are about to redeem ourselves, sort of: Epic is giving you 31x XP this weekend, October 29th – November 1st, for playing Gears 2 online mulitplayer.

Okay, really I didn’t do much to redeem myself there, but I reported on it, right? In any case, I’m still trying to wrap my head a 31x XP bonus for anything, let alone Gears 2. Maybe Cliffy B has gone completely mad, or maybe they’ve just got too many Gears 2 veterans for this to really matter. If you’re a newcomer to the game, though, this sounds like its your weekend.

Can you imagine if Blizzard offered 31x XP weekends for World of Warcraft? I think something like that would be so big that the entire internet might just break as a result.
