Yahoo Email Redesign Launched

Yahoo Attempting to Bring New Users With New Email Look, Ability to Link to Twitter

In an attempt to lure new users to their service, Yahoo has redesigned its email provider with a new look, new functionality and moving old functionality to the front making it easier to find and use. Yahoo claims that this is the most massive refurbishing the company has performed on its email service in five years.

The new look Yahoo mail is free for all users, though they still offer a paid email service as well. The free mail is far more popular and the new look was launched yesterday, Wednesday October 27th. The biggest new addition to the facelift is the fact that any of the 273 million users will be able to link their Yahoo email accounts to Twitter. This means that any updates to Twitter accounts they follow will also be trackable through their email accounts.

Yahoo will allow users to switch to the new look as a test run through the end of the year and then will force the changeover sometime in 2011.
