Today's Team Fortress 2 Marks Beginning of Scream Fortress

Valve Launches Their Second Annual Halloween Special For Team Fortress 2, New Map and Murderous NPC Boss Added

The update Valve released for Team Fortress 2 today kicks off their “Second Annu-Hell Scream Fortress Hauntdead Halloween Special,” which runs from today until November 8th. The update includes gift wrapping, which is pretty self-explanatory, as well as new map called Mann Manor. Combatants fighting in Mann Manor will be treated to the Haunted Halloween Gift, which drops randomly.

But that isn’t all you’re going to get with the new update. Perhaps the most…er, frightening things to come with the update is the inclusion of the Horseless Headless Horsemann, an NPC boss who runs around the Mann Manor map at random intervals and kills everyone. The Horseless Headless Horsemann disregards team affiliation and will murder anyone who gets in his way, so the two opposing teams will have to stop filling each other with lead for a moment in order to dispatch him. Then, of course, everyone will go back to frantically and hilariously killing each other.

Look for new items in the Mann Co. Store, too, which will only be available during the Scream Fortress Special.
