PlayStation Phone "Definitely Real" Despite Sony Denial

PlayStation Phone Deemed "Real", Sony Still Mum

Okay, this PlayStation Phone thing went beyond ridiculous so fast it didn’t even have time to wave. Engadget are majorly staking their reputation on this thing’s confirmed existence and, as they themselves point out, they have a pretty amazing track record and absolutely no sense of modesty. We were sort of leaning towards the “fake” camp ourselves there, but blast our fickle hearts, now we just don’t know.

They say it’s been confirmed by “multiple trusted sources” who also let slip a codename (Zeus) and the fact that it’s currently running Android 2.x. Since it’s not tech news without some speculation, they hypothesize the Sony member hoi polloi who denied the validity of the images didn’t have top level platinum VIP exclusive access to information about the existence of… wait for it… Zeus, which is why Sony went about-face with the usual talk-to-the-hand press quote “we don’t comment on rumors or speculation”.
