Archos 101 & Archos 70 Internet Tablets Now Shiping In Europe
While many over here in the US are still waiting for the new Archos devices to begin shipping, those in Europe are now able to move forward with an order for the Archos 101 and/or Archos 70. And yes, technically the Archos 43 is available in the US, however that is only a pre-order with Amazon at this point.

Furthermore, the Archos 32 has been available for some time. But for the purpose of this post, we are referring to the larger two of the bunch, the ones that are more true to the tablet size — the Archos 101 and the Archos 70 which have a 10.1 inch and 7 inch display respectively.
As for the Archos 70, this model will be available in an 8GB and 250GB storage capacity. That said, at present the only model shipping is the 8GB which is selling for 249€. And once available, the 250GB model will sell for 299€. Moving onto the Archos 101 and we have an 8GB and 16GB option, however at present the 16GB model is the only one available. The 16GB Archos 101 is selling for 349€ and once available the 8GB model will sell for 299€. In addition there is also the 16GB Archos 43 for 199€, however that one remains unavailable.
In terms of specs, the Archos 101 and the 70 are fairly similar. For example they both offer support for a wide variety of file formats, and have a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, headphone jack, built-in speakers, front facing camera, HDMI out and a microSD card slot. Other goodies include a kickstand, microphone, G-sensor and a promised upgrade to Android 2.2.
The 101 has a 10.1 inch display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and the 70 has a 7 inch display with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Lastly, both models are promising battery life of up to 36 hours for music, 7 hours for vide and 10 hours for web surfing.
