Juniper Mobile Phone Security Suite Launched

Junos Pulse Mobile Phone Security Software By Juniper Will Fit All Platforms

Juniper Networks has launched an internet security suite called the Junos Pulse Mobile that is aimed exclusively at mobile phones. The software would guard against malware and includes antivirus software but that is hardly the only thing the suite, which is aimed at all platforms of the Smartphone can do.

The Junos Pulse Mobile suite can also remotely backup and replace data previously on the phone as well as help locate phones that have been lost or were stolen. Juniper’s software can even send out an alert when the phone’s sim card has been removed. While Juniper is still in limited release at the moment the company expects its new suite to be available to most mobile phone carriers by the end of 2010.

While Juniper is not the first company to come out with a mobile phone security suite, the company claims theirs is the most comprehensive and appears at least to be backed by AT&T who had their Chief Technology Officer appear in their promotional video.
