T-Mobile Tethering & Wi-Fi Add-On Tipped To Go Live On November 3rd
Those looking to tether their mobile phones on T-Mobile may be in for a bit of good news. According to a recently leaked document, T-Mobile is going to be launching just such a plan. The details state that it will be called the Tethering and Wi-Fi Sharing Add-On and that it will be available as of November 3rd.

And as you likely expect, the plan seems to come with a few rules and requirements, though in truth — they seem rather fair. First and foremost, the Tethering and Wi-Fi Sharing Add-On is going to be priced at $14.99 per month. The first catch, in order to add the tethering to your existing plan, you must have the $19.95 Unlimited Web Feature, or a higher plan. Nothing that surprising so far.
Furthermore, the tethering add-on will be available for both FlexPay customers as well as post-paid customers. That said, it was noted that FlexPay customers will “need to change their Unlimited Web feature in order for the new tethering add-on feature to work.” Either way though, it is nice to see the option there.
As for data, nothing extra for your $14.99. Basically you are just paying for the privilege to share the data you already have with other devices. Bottom line, your smartphone already has 5GB and that limit will remain — your usage on the phone and other devices will all be totaled together.
The one interesting portion of this memo comes in to the specific mention of the Galaxy Tab.
“Customers who purchase a T-Mobile mobile broadband product like the upcoming Galaxy Tab should activate with a webConnect plan to ensure the best experience.”
Not so much interesting in the fact they assume people may want to share the Galaxy Tab connectivity, but that this is coming on November 3rd. In other words, maybe we are getting closer to seeing an official T-Mobile Galaxy Tab release date.
