Survey Shows High Tech Products Sought After For Christmas

Kids Want High Tech Gadgets Like the iPod, iPad Over Toys

A new survey by Duracell of more than 2,000 children shows that high tech gadgets are what is really wanted this Christmas. In what can only be described as a win for Steve Jobs, Apple products were the top three items on the list as tech toys were eight of the top 10.

The survey included 2,138 children ranging in age from 5 to 16 and not surprisingly showed a steep curve towards the truly high tech the older the child. The iPhone, the iPod Touch and the iPad were the top three gifts on the list with 66 percent of kids aged 13-16 wanting the Apple products.

The yet to be released Kinect was fourth on the list, the Flip Video camera finished sixth, the Playstation move finished seventh and Lego Harry Potter video game finished ninth while the Barbie video girl place tenth. Zhu Zhu Pets and a Buzz Lightyear figure were the only items on the list not truly tech related.
