HD PSP 2 (No PSP Phone Though) Secretly Shown By Sony At Tokyo Game Show, Coming In 2011
If Allied secrets were as well kept as Sony’s during World War II, we’d all be speaking German right now. Turns out they’ve been showing off the PSP 2 behind closed doors at the Tokyo Game Show. Just to get that out of the way, nobody said anything about a PSP phone. In fact, the word “phone” was not uttered once. There. Now then, you’ll probably want to know two things: the laundry list of new features and the juicy gossip about whatever problems they’re having with it. Step right up, it’s all below.

First up, we’re talking one inch larger screen, which Sony themselves describe as “HD”, “sharp” and presumably “purty”, but not near company. Also BAM, touchpad on the back, which “looks like a big mouse trackpad”. Okay, that’s… it’s not 3D, but we’ll take it we guess. Now for the dish, Apparently Sony “is having problems balancing battery, power and heat.”, specifically some overheating issues with the hardware. Nothing a little liquid nitrogen won’t fix. And it’s dropping fall 2011.
We’re taking a bit of space here to relay an important message to Sony HQ. We don’t really care if we have to play this thing with oven mitts on, just make sure you stick an extra analog on there or you’re dead to us. Kisses.
