Mario 25th Anniversary Wii And DSi Coming To United States
When we first heard about the special limited edition “red” Mario 25th Anniversary Nintendo Wii and DSi, they were only heading to Japan and considering how the Japanese are typically the only ones who get such special bundles, we didn’t think it was heading for the United States. But then, it was announced for Europe, and finally now, it’s confirmed that the 25th Anniversary Super Mario Bros. Wii and DSi are headed to North America.

In a press release from Nintendo of America, the company detailed that both the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DSi XL will be offered in special red Mario lively. The Nintendo Wii bundle, matching what is coming in Japan and Europe, will offer a red console with a Red Wii Remote Plus and Wii Nunchuck. A copy of New Super Mario Bros. will also be included, along with old pack-in Wii Sports. This will be available for a limited time and will run you $200, matching the regular price of the Nintendo Wii (what a steal!).
The Nintendo DSi XL will come in red as well, but with special Mario Bros. themed artwork on the handheld. The bundle will come with Mario Kart DS while two Brain Age Express games will be reloaded on the handheld for your enjoyment. They’re asking just $180 for the handheld, which again is the regular price for the Nintendo DSi in the United States.
At these cut-rate (well regular) prices, you should expect these special bundles celebrating Mario’s 25th Anniversary to go quickly. Anybody planning to pick these up?
