Back To The Mac: New MacBook Air, iLife 11 & Brand New Product
Later on today, at precisely 10 AM PST, Steve Jobs will come out before the press today, for the second time this week, to deliver one of his magical keynotes in which new products are going to be unveiled. But unlike previous keynote we’ve seen and extensively covered, it looks like the products about to be presented today have already been confirmed by Apple in their forums: the new MacBook Air models, iLife 11 and a new, unnamed product.

As you can see in the screenshots here Apple’s website reveals all these three products and we definitely expect to see them later during the show today. The images mention the MBA, which is presumably the new MacBook Air, both 13.3- and 11.6-inch versions, the iLife 11 suite, and a product that needs a name (current placeholder says “Reserved 10 20”).
In the days preceding the event we heard various rumors about the new MacBook models, especially the 11.6-inch version, and about iLife 11 that will offer you new iPhoto 11, Garageband 11 and iMovie 11 versions. One other particularly interesting rumor was related to Lion, which is believed to be the next kitty in Cupertino’s backyard. Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) could be that “Reserved 10 20” product we see mentioned below.

And if it’s not Lion, then what could Apple unveil at a Back To The Mac event? It definitely has to be Mac-related so it’s not going to be, say, a 7-inch iPad 2 that people said it’s coming by Christmas. Oh wait, Stevie J cleared all that up a couple of days ago when he made sure we know that 7-inch tablets, and 7-inch Android tablets in particular, would suck because not only they are pretty small, but they run Android too.

Back to the Mac though, make sure you tune in today to follow our live coverage of today’s Apple keynote. We’ll talk about all the new products out there and give you all the details about the new MacBook Air, iLife 11, and that hot “Reserved 10 20.”
