Free Xbox 360 In Austria With Windows Phone 7 Purchase

Austrian Carrier A1 Bests AT&T, Gives Away A Whole Xbox With New WP7 Phone

Our man Steve just told you about a deal with AT&T where they’re giving away a Zune and Zune Pass with a Windows Phone 7 phone purchase. Well, with typical European elitism, Austrian carrier A1 has upped the ante. Instead of just offering a Zune, they’re offering a Xbox 360 with qualified purchase of a new Windows Phone 7 phone.

There are some conditions for this deal. You have to buy a Windows Phone 7 device from an A1 retail store on the Windows Phone 7 launch day – October 21st. They’ll be giving out Xbox 360s (the new Slim models) until they run out of them. If you’re picky about the new Xbox, it’s the cheaper Arcade 4GB model, not the 250GB model, but you can’t complain about free.

If you’re Austrian (or want an A1 phone) and can’t make it to an A1 retail store on October 21st, you can pre-order a phone online, where your name will be dropped into a drawing for the Xbox 360. Definitely sounds like you’ll have a better chance showing up at the store.

A1 is offering three Windows Phone 7 devices on launch day. The HTC 7 Trophy, the HTC HD7 and the Samsung Omnia 7. A nice little selection. Definately worth waiting in line to snag a new phone and a Xbox 360, if you’re interested in living the full Microsoft lifestyle.

Remember that Windows Phone 7 is launching in Europe and Asia on October 21st and in early November in the United States. Are you jealous of the Austrians? Is the free Xbox 360 the best thing ever? Tell us your take in the comments section.
