Treyarch and Activision's Call Of Duty Black Ops Code Purportedly Stolen, Far-Fetched Story Backed Up By In The Wild Picture
There ‘s a pretty unbelievable story making the rounds involving a Black Ops Final disk that was supposedly stolen from a disk-pressing factory in Alabama. Get this, a “hacker” who’s known as “Ungodly Leaker” (the prison rape jokes write themselves at this point) managed to buy a disk containing the final code for Call of Duty Black Ops from the person who stole them (yes, a bunch of them were said to be taken). Apparently community manager Josh Olin tried to negotiate with the “Leaker” via an underground hacking forum, where he was banned, but enlisted another member by the handle of 97SIRHB to deliver the message that if the game was leaked, the forum was going to be closed, and if there’s anyone in the industry capable of carrying that threat through, it’s Activision .

Both the picture and the fact that the images have been taken down from the original site due to copyright claims point to this as a legit story. The last time this happened with a high-profile game, back in 2003, the victim was Valve and the incident ended up with the arrest of the suspects by the FBI, but the site also reports a similar Modern Warfare 2 incident taking place.
