HTC Gratia Android Smartphone Announced For Europe
Just last week we heard from HTC in regards to a handful of Windows Phone 7 handsets and today they have returned to the world of Android. The latest device to see an announcement is the HTC Gratia which is going to come available in Europe beginning in November of 2010.

And while all of the specs may not be as high as one would have hoped — 600MHz processor, all things considered this is a decently spec’d device. That said, I am thinking part of what is going to make this exciting is the exterior design. First and foremost, you will likely notice the colors, as in multiple options. The HTC Gratia is going to be available in green, white and black. And while I am normally a fan of white gadgets, that green is sharp looking. Otherwise, the exterior design is sporting nice silver accents in the form of the rivets on the back and around the camera trim as well as the volume rocker and along the top center by the earpiece.
Moving away from the design and into the hardware specs. The Gratia comes with a 3.2 inch (320 x 480) touchscreen display, optical trackpad,Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB, 512MB ROM, 384MB RAM, microSD card slot and a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with video recording.
In addition there is also the familiar G-sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor found on many other Android devices. As for size and weight, the Gratia measures in at 103.8 x 57.7 x 11.7 mm and weighs 115 grams.
Lastly, the HTC Gratia is heading to Europe and is expected to be available “through mobile operators and retailers across” beginning next month. With that, so far we have yet to learn which carriers, not to mention what the device will cost. And for anyone hoping to export and use this device outside the intended market, the network support arrives in the form of HSPA/WCDMA (900/2100 MHz) and · Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: (850/900/1800/1900 MHz).
