HTC HD7, HTC 7 Mozart, HTC 7 Trophy, HTC 7 Pro & HTC 7 Surround First Look – Video
In case you didn’t notice it before, this week has been clearly a Windows Phone 7 week, as Microsoft made its new OS official on October 11. Following the announcement we’ve seen a plethora of new handsets from various carriers and, although all handsets are pretty much alike due to Redmond’s firm minimum hardware requirements, you’ll have a hard time choosing the right one for you.

So far HTC has the most choices available for the public with five handsets, the HTC HD7, HTC 7 Mozart, HTC 7 Trophy, HTC 7 Pro and HTC 7 Surround. Dell has one WP7 handset, the Dell Venue Pro, while Samsung and LG have both two WP7 handsets each: the Samsung Omnia 7 and Focus and the LG Optimus 7 and the Optimus 7Q/Quantum, respectively.
So today we’re going to show you the five HTC Windows Phone 7 handsets out there on video, or better said we’re going to show you the official, and very short, might I add, HTC videos of their new Windows Phone 7 smartphones.
The HTC HD7 seems to be the leader of the pack. Comparable to the HTC HD2, EVO 4G, Desire HD and the Motorola Droid X in size, the phone is definitely going to be one of the WP7 flagship devices of this initial WP7 batch. The phone will come to T-Mobile USA soon, but will be available in other markets too.
The HTC 7 Mozart is apparently a device made for music fans and photographers that love taking pictures with their smartphone. The handset will not make it to the USA, at least not initially.
The HTC 7 Trophy , also not heading to US markets, appears to be a smartphone ready for lots of gaming and music action, or that’s what the short video below suggest.
The HTC 7 Pro is a Sprint exclusive in the USA. Naturally we know that CDMA Windows Phone 7 handsets are coming only at some point in 2011 so it will take a while for this Windows Phone 7 slider to come to Sprint stores. Oh, and by the way, Microsoft hasn’t really optimized its Metro UI for landscape use which is basically one important reason to avoid this QWERTY keyboard handset for a while, since it will be available in non-U.S. markets too.
The HTC 7 Surround is also a pretty original HTC WP7 handset, scheduled to arrive in the USA from AT&T. $199.99 and your signature in blood on a new 2-year contract will get you this surround-sound monster later in November.
So there you have it, folks! HTC has five WP7 handsets for the masses, which are so similar from certain hardware points of view but also very different when it comes to certain particular features. What are you going to choose?
