PSP Go Rumoured To Receive Price Cut in the US, Pretty Much Nobody Cares

Rumour Has It Sony Will Drop the PSP Go's Price in US to Sounds of Crickets Snoring

A new low in the PSP Go’s race with itself to the bottom has been reached, as Joystiq has received a tip that the much maligned handheld’s price is taking a(nother if you live in the UK) dive. While the only surprising portion of this decision is how long it took for it to happen, the PSP Go’s sales figures that not even a mother would love make Sony’s move at worst moot and at best a stalling tactic.

Sony can’t seem to give the thing away and in any case it looks like they’ve written it off as a training exercise. And why not, since they’ve also stopped selling PSP development kits and the PSP 2/PSP Phone rumor mill’s hamster is getting dizzy from all the spinning. Hopefully, they’re incorporating all of these lessons into a kick-ass game plan to blow everyone away with their next handheld. Then again, Sony still have to contend with their number one enemy: Sony.
