Windows Phone 7 Commercials Hit the Web; Still Suggest WP7 Phone Are Not Worthy of Attention

Microsoft Advertises Windows Phone 7 Handsets as Phones That Save Us From Our Phones

Microsoft has unveiled Windows Phone 7 today, again, and its partners, HTC, Samsung, Dell and LG, have announced plenty of hot smartphones coming soon to a market near you. We have shown you plenty of smartphones today, so let’s take a look at a few Windows Phone 7 commercials that happen to be available out there.

First of all we’re looking at the Windows Phone 7 Device Lineup, a 90-second video clip that shows us the following smartphones:

We’re not really surprised to see just the WP7 handsets headed to the USA in this one, are we, folks?

The second clip, Get in the Game, shows us one of the most important features of Windows Phone 7, which is gaming. Naturally we’re all impressed with the Xbox Live integration, but let’s see how the WP7 phones will really perform when it comes to gaming.

Since we’re still looking at WP7 features, we’ll have the next 26-second commercial listed here. Entitled Spell It Your Way, this commercial shows us the spelling features of the WP7, not that we’re easily impressed, are we folks? While we’re at it we have two more similar clips, Emoticons and Auto Corrections, all found below:

I’ve left the most important ads, entitled Season of the Witch and Really for last as they deliver a very disturbing message: Windows Phone 7 handsets are not worth paying attention to. What is that supposed to mean? Sure we focus too much on our smartphones and we tend to use apps and play games and browse the web at all times. But that’s why we need smartphones in the first place! Then Microsoft comes out to tell us they have a phone that will save us from our phones. Interesting approach there, Redmond!

Will Windows Phone 7 succeed as a mobile platform? It will probably, since all the media will focus on it by the end of the year and ultimately the media plays an important part in influencing customers to buy WP7 handsets. We will be definitely back analyzing Microsoft’s performance in the field in the following months, so stay tuned for more WP7 news.

Oh, and by the way, do you Really (pun intended) spend that much time on your smartphone?
