Ultrasone Introduces Extremely Limited Edition Headphones

Only 2010 Ultrasone Edition 10 Headphones Exist, Cost Like It

Speaking as someone who has tried Ultrasone headphones before, they’re really, really impressive stuff. And now, they’ve got a new set out that’ll really blow your mind–not to mention your wallet–wide open. We’re talking about the Ultrasone Edition 10 headphones, and are they ever something else.

They come in a wood box on a matching Zebrano wood stand, and the earpieces themselves are once again made out of Zebrano wood inlay with a whopping eight layers of clear lacquer, and the inner ear pad is–get this–Ethiopian sheepskin. As for performance, try a 32 ohm impedance with a frequency response range of between five and 45000 Hz.

With all that incredible stuff on the spec sheet, it likely won’t come as a surprise to hear that the 2010 of these that even exist will come with a whopping $2749 price tag. Release dates are as yet unclear, but if you start saving your pennies now, maybe you can be ready by the time they drop.
