AT&T Voicemail Viewer Application Now Available For U-verse Customers
AT&T has announced a new feature for U-verse Voice customers, the ability to check their home messages as visual voicemail using their smartphone. This new functionality comes by way of a mobile app called the AT&T Voicemail Viewer app.

According to the details coming from AT&T, the new app is described as;
“Much like an email inbox, the Voicemail Viewer app lists your home voicemail messages and allows you to choose the order in which you wish to listen to them. The app also provides a notification when a new voicemail arrives on your home phone, plus the ability to delete voicemails remotely.”
Of course, we would suspect that many of the TFTS readers are already familiar with visual voicemail. But the new message notification is a nice touch. Other features of the app include the ability to mark messages as read or unread, forward any voicemails to email, one-touch call returns and the option to view and add contacts to the address book on your smartphone.
And nicely, this new service offering is going to be available for free to U-verse customers. Bottom line here, this sounds like a nice addition for those still using a home phone line. After all, for many visual voicemail has become the standard in terms of checking email. It makes it easy to get the messages you want and need without having to push buttons to skip and save your way through a collection of messages. And now, you can manage your home and cell messages all from the same smartphone, which for many people is a device that is frequently far from their hands.
Unfortunately, though, at least as of this posting the AT&T website seems to be having some 404 issues. That said, those interested can head on over to www.att.com/vmviewer to grab the appropriate app for their phone.
