Redrock Outs External Electronic 1M Pixel SLR Viewfinder
Redrock unveils a new add-on for your camera with the release of the Electronic 1 Million Pixel SLR Viewfinder or the Redrock Micro’s microEVF.
The new electronic viewfinder can be simply plugged via the HDMI port of any camera which should be a dandy for people looking to capture more professional-like videos in the outdoors.
It comes with an eyepiece that features a 1.2 million dot resolution, higher than the 920,000 dots that most high-end rear panels carry today.
The whole electronic viewfinder weighs about 6 ounces and has its own battery which is good for a full day’s use.
Further electronic assist features will be announced and these will either be self-contained additions or will rely on information reaching the eyepiece via the HDMI-cable.
The viewfinder should make it easier for shooters to capture great views and see what exactly they are capturing and how they want them to turn out.
The microEVF will be priced at about $595. The date of availability has yet to be announced.
