Verizon Wireless R2-D2 Edition Droid 2 Launch Event Locations Expanded [Verizon Will Be Having Special Launch Parties For The R2-D2 Droid 2, Some Stores Opening At Midnight & Some At 8AM, Here Is A Rather Long List Of Locations]

As we learned the other day, Verizon will officially launch the R2-D2 Limited Edition Droid 2 on September 30th and it will come with a $249.99 price tag. We also mentioned that Verizon was going to be throwing some special launch events complete with giveaways, Star Wars characters and more. And at that time, that news came with a little disappointment in that the list only contained ten Verizon locations.

Well, flash forward till today and it looks like that list has now grown to over 25 locations and may still grown a little more. On top of the addition of more stores, they are also no longer only located on (or close to) the west coast of the US. And low and behold, one of those (St. Petersburg, FL) happens to be not all that far away.

The list is coming by way of the Droid-Life blog who really have to be commended on putting together the extensive list. That said, some stores will be opening at midnight, some at 6AM and some at regular hours. Either way though, should you choose to attend one of these launch events you can likely expect to find a super geeky crowd. After all, combining Android and Star Wars, enough said. So without further adieu, here is that list.
