Onkyo Unveils Three New Tablet PCs

Onkyo Japan Unveils the TW117A4, TW217A5 and TW317A5 Tablet PCs

Onkyo joins the tablet craze, unveiling three new tablet PCs with the TW117A4, TW217A5 and TW317A5. The Onkyo TW117A4 and TW317A5 tablets will be powered by an Intel Atom N450 processor and GMA 3150 graphics while the TW217A5 will make use of an Atom Z530 and GMA 500 graphics.

All three Onkyo PC tablets will have 1GB of RAM, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

The TW117A4 PC tablet will carry a 160GB HDD while the TW217A5 and TW317A5 will make use of a 32GB SSD.

The TW217A5 and TW317A5 tablets will also have HDMI. The first two carrying Atom N450 processors will also two USB 2.0 ports.

The TW117A4 tablet weighs about 0.99 kg, the TW217A5 at 850 g and the TW317A5 at 1.0 kg.

Battery life varies as well with the TW117A4 good for about 6.4 hours, the TW217A5 for 3.8 hours and the TW317A5 for 5 hours.

For now it seems these Onkyo tablets will be made available only in Japan. No official word yet on pricing.
