Motorola ES400S Will Arrive With Sprint Before The End Of October
Sprint and Motorola may have announced the ES400 back in June, however since then the details have remained fairly quite. Not to mention, at the time of that previous announcement, they left off two of the most important items — the pricing and release date.

Well, flash forward till today and we now have some more information to pass along for those who may have been waiting. The ES400S will be available with Sprint before the end of October. And while an exact release date is always a bit nicer, at least they have narrowed it down to a month. As for the price, according to the press release;
“as low as $499.99 for qualifying business customers or $549.99 with a new line or eligible upgrade and two-year service agreement,”
In addition, the handset will also require either a Sprint Business Advantage Messaging and Data plan or an Everything plan with data. Otherwise, the ES400S is noted as having the honor of being “the first Motorola enterprise handheld device to be carrier-branded, stocked and sold to businesses of all sizes through Sprint sales channels.”
Given the image above, you can likely determine one thing — the ES400S is a rugged designed handset. The phone comes sporting the MIL-STD 810G certification which means it will be able to withstand dust, bumps and drops from as high as four feet. Other goodies include a biometric fingerprint reader and 3.2 MP camera with red line aimer for barcode scanning.
Moving past the slightly more unique features, the ES400S has a 3 inch VGA quality touchscreen display, 1GB ROM, 256MB RAM, 600MHz processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, 1540 mAh battery and is running Windows Embedded Handheld which is a variant of Windows Mobile 6.5.3. Lastly, in terms of network support, that looks to be “CDMA EVDO Rev. A for domestic service and HSPA/GSM for international roaming.
