Sonim Releasing New IP68 Certified Phone Next Month

Sonim will Reportedly Unveil the Sonim XP1300 Core Rugged Phone by October

Sonim is reportedly all set to unveil a new rugged phone by October, made for people who look for handsets that they can use for rugged environmental conditions. The XP1300 Core will be IP68 certified and offers complete protection against dust. It can also be submerged up to 1 meter or greater in water.

The Sonim XP1300 Core should be an ideal solution, particularly for the people in the industry sector. It should be a useful device that can help people communicate while on field in any type of weather condition.

While we have seen a lot of similar rugged devices made for the same purpose, the XP1300 also brings added features that should make it appealing.

These other features include GPRS/EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth, media player, and web browsing capabilities.

Official pricing for the Sonim XP1300 has not yet been officially announced although it is expected to retail at around $500. It is set to come out by October.
